About Ensemble na Mara:

Ensemble na Mara was founded in 2003, making its debut at the Holywell Music Room in Oxford. The string trio/piano quartet performs a wide range of repertoire in a wide range of venues. During the 2005/2006 season the ensemble were winners of the Royal Overseas League chamber music prize, Kirckman Concert Society debut recital and Tunnell Trust prize, resulting in several tours of Scotland. Recent performances include a series of concerts at the Edinburgh Festival 2006, the Mostly Mozart Festival in the Barbican, the Wye Valley Chamber Music Festival and at the Banff Centre for the Arts, Canada, where they held a summer residency. They have also appeared at Sheffield's Music in the Rounds series as well as giving annual performances at the Skye Fèis an Eilein.A passionate commitment to contemporary music has led to performances of works by Stuart Macrae, James MacMillan, Philip Cashian and Edward McGuire.
